documentary. candid. fully in it with you.
Your wedding day is the first page of your family's story.
And I take that seriously. Every family has a origin — the day two people decided to do life together, surrounded by everyone who loves them most. Twenty years from now, your kids are going to flip through those photos and see exactly who was there, what the room felt like, and how much you loved each other. That's not a small thing to hand off to someone, and I don't treat it like it is.
the most important decision after the one you already made
Finding the right photographer is harder than people think, and it should be.
The deliverables (hours, photo count, album type) are the last thing you should base this decision on. What actually matters is whether you trust the person holding the camera, whether their personality fits the room you're building, and whether their work makes you feel something when you look at it. If you look at my portfolio and it doesn't move you, or you read this page and think "she seems fine" — keep looking. You're with your photographer more than anyone else on your wedding day. Please make sure you enjoy them! There is exactly one photographer out there who will shoot your wedding the way I shoot it, with my eye, and my personality. The same is true of every photographer worth hiring! So find yours — even if that's not me.
the whole room, not just the couple in the center of it
Documenting your wedding day the way it all unfolded.
Most couples expect the photographer portion of their wedding day to feel like a production with stopping, posing, and being arranged until the light is right. That part is minimal with me. We do portraits, they're fun, and then you go be at your wedding while I move through the rest of it. The baby napping seven rows back or your mom wiping her happy tears away — those land in your gallery because I was paying attention to the whole room and catching what's already happening. Other times this can mean making moments happen because I saw the opening and took it... Like the time I pulled the bride's mom through the sparkler line for an impromptu catwalk while the couple had their last private dance (the crowd lost their minds!). Your gallery should feel like someone was there for all of it.
no complicated process, just a conversation
We figure out if we're a good fit, then we have a blast together.
Reach out and we'll make sure we click with personality, style, timeline — all of it. Many couples choose to book an engagement session first, which I'd genuinely recommend because it gets us comfortable together before the big day, and that investment rolls directly into your wedding total when you book both. If you have questions I haven't answered here, just ask — there's no such thing as a dumb question when you're figuring out who you want in the room on your wedding day!
